Festival Ravel Announces Dates & Venue for 2025 Edition

The Festival Ravel is set to take place on August 28 through Sept. 7, 2025.

This upcoming edition will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the famed composer and will be presented in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Cibouree among other communes of the Basque Country.

The festival’s programming will be unveiled in March 2025, but will feature performances by such organizations as l’Orchestre de l’Opéra national de Paris, l’Ensemble intercontemporain, l’Orchestre National de France, l’Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, l’Orchestre de Chambre Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and l’Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse.

Ravel’s music will be the focal point of the programming.

Ravel was born in Ciboure in 1875 and regularly spent time in the Basque Country throughout his life. Many of his most notable works are dedicated to or inspired by the region.
