Festival of Ópera Villera Announces 2024 Slate

The Festival of Ópera Villera in Buenos Aires, Argentina has unveiled its 2024 slate. The festival will take place at the neighborhoods of P. Ricciardelli and Fátima (Villa Soldati).

The first day will feature a rehearsal for the main event gala as well as a master class with violinist Xavier Inchausti.

Event Date: Nov. 16, 2024

Then comes the screening of the documentary “Ópera Villera” directed by Néstor Sotelo and Ana Farina.

Screening Date: Nov. 18, 2024

There will be an opera scenes showcase featuring moments from “Carmen” and “Rigoletto” starring  soprano Laura Polverini, mezzo-soprano Mónica Nogales, tenor Nazareth Aufe, baritone Esteban Hildebrand, baritone Gabriel Vacas, and bass Augusto Nureña. Juan Ufor accompanies the performance.

Screening Date: Nov. 20, 2024

There will be a masterclass focusing on theatrical expression by Tatiana Solorzano.

Screening Date: Nov. 22, 2024

The festival ends with a gala concert.
