Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra Opens with Mozart’s Requiem

On Nov. 13, the XX edizione del Festival Internazionale di Musica e Arte Sacra will open at the Basilica di San Paolo in Rome.

Ildebrando Mura will conduct the Cappella Ludovicea orchestra and chorus in a performance of Mozart’s Requiem.

Soloists will include soprano Natalia Pavlova, mezzo-soprano Debora Beronesi, tenor Alessandro Luciano, and baritone Mauro Utzeri. The concert will be preceded by mass at the Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano where soprano Maria Carfora will sing the “Laudato” by composer Romano Musumarra.

The concert will be one of the six that the festival will offer after having canceled its previous season due to the pandemic. The festival is organized by the Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra. The festival ends on Nov. 16, 2022.
