Festival d’Aix-en-Provence Announces Cast Changes for ‘Norma’ & ‘Idomeneo’

The Festival d’Aix-en-Provence has announced cast changes for “Idomeneo” and “Norma.”

The festival noted that Anna Bonitatibus will replace Anna Stéphany as Idamante in the production of “Idomeneo.”

Meanwhile, Amina Edris will sing the role of Adalgisa, replacing Nina Minasyan in a concert performance of “Norma.”

Bonitatibus is known for her work in Handel and Rossini while Edris has performed at the Paris Opera, Grand-Théâtre de Genève, Opéra de Limoges, Washington Concert Opera, and San Francisco Opera.

Bonitatibus will join a cast that includes Michael Spyres, Sabine Devieilhe, Siobhan Stagg, Linard Vrielink, Krešimir Špicer, and Alexandros Stavrakakis. “Idomeneo” is set to be performed from July 6 to 22, 2022. Edris will join a cast that includes Karine Deshayes, Michael Spyres, and Krzysztof Bączyk. The performance is set to be held on July 18, 2022.
