Festival Castell de Peralada to Present Easter Concerts

By Francisco Salazar

The Festival Castell de Peralada in Spain has announced plans to perform a concert series during Easter.

The festival noted that it will perform concerts leading up to Easter weekend in the same ways such festivals as Salzburg and Baden-Baden do and noted that the concerts will be performed at the Iglesia del Carmen.

This summer the Festival Castell de Peralada has seen 12,750 spectators selling 85 percent capacity with a budget of 3.7 million Euros. Among the performers that graced the stage of the festival were Sonya Yoncheva, Lise Davidsen, Ermonela Jaho, and Jose Carreras. The Teatro Real also performed at the festival in performances of “Nabucco” and “Hadrian.”

Founded in 1987, the Festival is regarded as one of the major arts events of the summer. Patronage of the Festival is part of the Peralada Group’s corporate social responsibility policy, in line with the international spirit of active contribution to culture and the promotion of music.
