The Festival Alte Musik Knechtsteden has unveiled its 2023 festival. Here are the vocal performances.

First up is a production of Ristori’s “I Lamenti d’Orfeo” featuring a production by Nils Niemann and the Ensemble 1700 under Dorothee Oberlinger.

Performance Dates: August 17 & 18, 2023

Next up is a concert of Motets by J.C. Bach, J.L. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, W.F.E. Bach, and J.S. Bach.

Performance Dates: September 16, 2023

There will be a concert featuring excerpts from Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” and the “Burlesque Cantata.”

Performance Dates: September 17, 2023

The Solistenensemble der Rheinischen Kantorei will perform music by J.C. Bach, J.S. Bach, and C.P.E. Bach.

Performance Dates: September 20, 2023

Ensemble Céladon, which features such singers as Lise Viricel, Clara Coutouly, and Paulin Bündgen, will perform music by Goude, and Motets from Notre-Dame-Schule.

Performance Dates: September 22, 2023

There will be a concert of Bach Cantatas for Leipzig.
