The Washington National Opera is set to present a new production of Mozart’s “Così fan tutte.”

The opera, which will run from March 12 to 26, 2022 at the Eisenhower Theater, will mark the first fully-staged production for the company since March 2020.

The Mozart masterwork will star legendary Italian bass Ferruccio Furlanetto as Don Alfonso in his WNO debut. He will be joined by soprano Laura Wilde as Fiordiligi and Rihab Chaieb as Dorabella as well as tenor Kang Wang and baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky as Ferrando and Guglielmo, respectively. The cast will be rounded out by acclaimed soprano Ana María Martínez making her role debut as Despina.

Major Mozart stylist, Erina Yashima conducts the new production by Alison Moritz. Moritz and her design team have created an elegant production featuring period costumes with a strong theatrical interpretation.
