Fathom Events to Present Metropolitan Opera’s ‘Falstaff’ through ‘Live in HD’ Series

On April 1, 2023, Fathom Events will present the Metropolitan Opera’s live transmission of Verdi’s “Falstaff” to movie theaters nationwide.

Led by conductor Daniele Rustioni, the production stars baritone Michael Volle in the title role, with soprano Ailyn Perez as Alice Ford, mezzo Jennifer Johnson Cano as Meg Page, among others.

Director Robert Carsen’s production first premiered at the Met in 2013, and sets the work in 1950s New England, with set design by Paul Steinberg, costumes by Brigitte Reiffenstuel, and lighting by Carsen and Peter Van Praet. The “Live in HD” presentation will be directed by Habib Azar, with bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as host for the evening.

There will be encores presented on April 5 at 1:00 and 6:30 pm.
