Fairfield County Chorale Receives CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant from CT Humanities

By Nicolas Quiroga

The Fairfield County Choir has received a $9,200 operating support grant from the CT Cultural Fund of CT Humanities to help it recover after the COVID-19 pandemic and increase its capacity to serve the community and the public.

The Assembly has determined that some of that operational support be provided to the Fairfield County Chorale and Governor Ned Lamont has approved it. This grant will be
provided with funds from the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development/Connecticut Office of the Arts of the Connecticut State
Legislature.

“The grant is wonderful news, it is the testimony of an effort made by FCC leaders and members, to maintain our activities and to be able to provide cultural options to the
community,” said Art Gang, president of the FCC, in an official press statement.

The CT Cultural Fund has awarded more than $8.5 million to 723 Connecticut organizations in support of nonprofit organizations supporting and outreaching the arts and
humanities by the CT General Assembly.
