Fabio Armiliato, Alexandra LoBianco & Carl Tanner Lead Opera Carolina’s 2020-21 Season

Opera Carolina has announced its 2020-21 season featuring three operas, two from the standard repertoire and one new work.

The season opens with Puccini’s “Tosca” starring Cellia Costea in the title role, Fabio Armiliato as Cavaradossi and Leo An as Scarpia. James Meena conducts a production by Michael Capasso.

Performance Dates: Oct. 31-Nov. 5, 2020

Douglas Tappin’s “I Dream” is set to star Avalon Cutts-Jones, Kenneth Overton, Lucia Bradford, Alyson Cambridge, Victor Ryan Robertson, and Derrick Davis. James Meena conducts Tom Diamond’s production.

Performance Dates: Jan 21-24, 2021

The season concludes with Verdi’s “Aida” starring Alexandra LoBianco, Carl Tanner, Reginald Smith, Jr., and Deborah Nansteel. James Meena conducts Guy Montavon’s production.

Performance Dates: April 11-17, 2021

All performances will be held at the Belk Theater in Charlotte, North Carolina.
