Étienne Dupuis, Javier Camarena, Sondra Radvanovsky, Brian Jagde Headline Casts for Royal Opera House’s 2024 Japan Tour
By David SalazarThe Royal Opera House has announced the cast details for its Japan 2024 tour.
“It’s a pleasure to be bringing these incredible works to Japan – with two stellar casts, our Royal Operas Chorus and of course Orchestra of the Royal Opera House,” said Music Director Antonio Pappano, who will conduct all the performances on the tour, in an official press statement. “This tour will be even more special as it will mark my final performances as Music Director of The Royal Opera, and I can’t think of two better productions – both are perfect pieces of theatre full of musical and dramatic sequences with an inexorable quality – one hit after another.”
The company revealed that Etienne Dupuis, Nadine Sierra, Javier Camarena, Anne Marie Stanley, Eric Greence, and Alexander Köpeczi will headling its production of “Rigoletto.”
Performance Dates: June 22 & 25 at Kangawa Kenmin Hall in Yokohama; June 28 & 30 at NHK Hall in Tokyo
As for its production of “Turandot,” the company will showcase the talents of Sondra Radvanovksy in the title role, Brian Jadge as Calaf, Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha as Liù, and John Relyea as Timur.
Performance Dates: June 23 – July 2 at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan
