Estonian National Opera Announces 2021-22 Season

The Estonian National Opera has announced its 2021-22 season.

Lauri Sirp conducts “The Merry Widow” by Lehar in a production by André Heller-Lopes.

Performance Dates: August 19, 2021-June 16, 2022

Idomeneo will be performed in a concert performance Risto Joost conducting.

Performance Dates: August 27 & 29, 2021

Arvo Volmer, Vello Pähn, and Kaspar Mänd will conduct a revival of Verdi’s “Il Trovatore.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 8, 2021-April 14, 2022

Ravel’s “L’Enfant et les Sortilèges” and “Ma mere l’oie” will be performed in a double bill with conductors Vello Pähn, Kaspar Mänd.

Performance Dates: Sept. 4, 2021-May 22, 2022

Mozart’sLe Nozze di Figaro is set to return with conductors Risto Joost, Vello Pähn, and Lauri Sirp.

Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” returns to the Estonian stage with conductors Risto Joost, Vello Pähn, and Lauri Sirp.

Vello Pähn, Arvo Volmer, and Kaspar Mänd conduct Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette.”

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “The Tsar’s Bride” is set to be conducted by Kaspar Mänd.

Verdi’s “La Traviata” will be performed with conductors Arvo Volmer, Vello Pähn, and Risto Joost. The production is by Neeme Kuningas.

Vilppu Kiljunen directs a new production of Mozart’sThe Magic Flute with conductor Vello Pähn.

José Cura’s production of Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” returns with conductors Arvo Volmer and Vello Pähn.

Performance Dates: Feb. 10-18, 2022

Eino Tamberg’s “Cyrano de Bergerac” will be conducted by Arvo Volmer.

Performance Dates: Feb. 16-25, 2022

Tchaikovsky’s “Iolanta” will be performed in concert.
