Ermonela Jaho Announces New Album ‘Anima Rara’

Opera Rara has announced Ermonela Jaho’s upcoming solo album.

The new album, entitled “Anima Rara,” showcases the soprano alongside the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana and Andrea Battistoni in rare works by Mascagni, Leoncavallo, Verdi, and Puccini, among others.

“Anima Rara” also marks Jaho’s debut solo album.

The set marks the latest collaboration between Opera Rara and Ermonela Jaho. Previously the soprano has collaborated with the company on complete recordings of Puccini’s “Le Willis” and Leoncavallo’s “Zazà.”

The soprano also has recordings of “La Traviata” “Il Trittico,” “Les Contes d’Hoffmann,” and “Madama Butterfly” available on DVD.

“Anima Rara” will be available on Sept. 25, 2020.
