Ermonela Jaho, Anna Pirozzi, Riccardo Massi, Sean Panikkar Headline Opéra de Lyon’s 2024-25 Season

The Opéra de Lyon has announced its 2024-25 season.

First up is “Wozzeck” in a production by Richard Brunel. Stéphane Degout and Ambur Briad star. Daniele Rustioni conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 2 -14, 2024

Riccardo Massi, Anna Pirozzi, and Amartuvshin Enkhbat star in a concert version of “Andrea Chénier.” Daniele Rustioni conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 15, 2024

Giacomo Sagripanti and Clément Lonca conduct Rossini’s “Le Turc en Italie” with the Soloists from the Lyon Opéra Studio. Laurent Pelly directs.

Performance Dates: Dec. 11-29, 2024

Ermonela Jaho stars in “Madama Butterfly.” Sesto Quatrini conducts Andrea Breth’s production.

Performance Dates: Jan. 22 – Feb 3, 2025

Elena Guseva, Riccardo Massi, Igor Golovatenko, and Michele Pertusi star in “La Forza del Destino.” Daniele Rustioni conducts Ersan Mondtag’s production.

Performance Dates: March 14 – April 2, 2025

Giorgio Battistelli’s “7 Minutes” will get its Lyon premiere in a production by Pauline Bayle. Miguel Pérez Iñesta conducts the soloists of the Lyon Opera Studio.

Performance Dates: March 15-29, 2025

Audiences will get a taste of Diana Soh and Emmanuelle Destremau’s “L’Avenir nous le dira.” Alice Laloy directs.

Performance Dates: March 15 – 23, 2025

Wayne Marshall conducts “Peter Grimes” in a production by Christof Loy. Sean Panikkar stars alongside Anne Sofie von Otter.

Performance Dates: May 9 – 21, 2025

Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber and Lucie Vérot Solaure’s “Le Sang du Glacier” will be the opéra itinérant.

Performance Dates: June 9 – 14, 2025

Marie-Ève Signeyrole directs “Così fan tutte.” Duncan Ward conducts.

Performance Dates: June 14 – 24, 2025
