Erin Wall & Tamara Mumford Highlight Grand Teton 2020 Summer Festival

The Grand Teton Music Festival has announced highlights from its summer 2020 program, which will open on July 3, and is set to run until August 22.

For the purpose of this article, we will focus only on vocal works.

Singer and actress Bernadette Peters will officially open the festival with a solo concert.

Performance Date: July 3, 2020

Donald C. Runnicles will conduct a rich program consisting of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica,” and Strauss’ “Four Last Songs,” and “Death and Transfiguration.” Soprano Erin Wall will be the featured soloist.

Performance Dates: July 10 & 11, 2020

Grand Teton Music Festival Music Director Donald C. Runnicles will lead performances of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” with soprano Jacquelyn Stucker Drye and mezzo-soprano Tamara Mumford being the soloists.

Performance Dates: August 14 & 15

In the remaining part of the program, works of Jean Sibelius, Antonín Dvořák, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Johannes Brahms, Modest Mussorgsky and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be performed, among others.
