Erika Grimaldi, Michael Sumel & Joélle Harvey Lead National Symphony Orchestra’s 2023-24 Season

The National Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2023-24 season. Here is a look at the vocal performance for the season.

Gianandrea Noseda conducts soloists Denis Kozhukhin, Elena Stikhina, Sergey Skorokhodov, and Alexey Markov in Rachmaninoff’s “The Rock,” Piano Concerto No. 4, and “The Bells.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 28-30, 2023

Kevin John Edusei and Katerina Burton lead a program that includes Duke Ellington’s “Harlem,” Adolphus Hailstork’s “JFK: The Last Speech” and John Adams’ “Harmonielehre.” Phylicia Rashad is the narrator.

Performance Dates: Oct. 26 & 28, 2023

Laurence Equilbey leads Handel’s “Messiah” with Robin Johannsen, Christopher Lowrey, Aaron Sheehan, and Jonathon Adams.

Performance Dates: Dec. 14 – 17, 2023

Bernard Labadie conducts Joélle Harvey and Michael Sumuel in Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem. The program includes Henri-Joseph Rigel’s Symphony No. 4 and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 31, “Paris.”

Performance Dates: April 4-6, 2024

Gianandrea Noseda conducts Verdi’s “Otello” with Arsen Soghomonyan, Erika Grimaldi, Roman Burdenko, and Francesco Marsiglia.

Performance Dates: June 7 & 9, 2024
