English Touring Opera Present Shakespeare-Themed Spring 2025 Season

English Touring Opera has announced its upcoming Shakespeare-themed spring 2025 season.
Stops on the tour include London, York, Truro, Norwich, Durham, Crawley, Snape, Sheffield, Buxton, Exeter, Canterbury, and Poole.
The seasons starts off with a new production of Bellini’s “The Capulets and the Montagues,” by Eloise Lally. Jessica Cale, Samantha Price, Brenton Spiteri, Timothy Nelson, and Masimba Ushe perform the lead roles. Alphonse Cemin conducts.
Performance Dates: February 22 – April 26, 2025
Alys Mererid Roberts, Emily Hodkinson, Tamsanqa Tylor Lemani, and Samuel Pantcheff are soloists in “What Dreams May Come,” a new studio piece which mixes puppetry with music spanning hundreds of years inspired by the words and characters of Shakespeare.
Performance Dates: February 15 – April 25, 2025
Michael Betteridge and Jonathan Ainscough’s “The Vanishing Forest” is presented by vocalists Alys Mererid Roberts, Stephanie Jennifer Poropat, Emily Hodkinson, Judith Le Breuilly, Daniel Gray Bell, Harry Grigg, Samuel Pantcheff, and John Ieuan Jones. Victoria Briggs directs the new children’s opera that investigating deforestation, and continues the story of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Performance Dates: March 2 – April 21, 2025
