By Francisco Salazar

The English Touring Opera has announced a cast change for “Lucrezia Borgia” on March 17.

The company said, “due to illness, in this evening’s performance of ‘Lucrezia Borgia’ the role of Lucrezia will be sung by Katherine McIndoe.”

McIndoe graduated from the Opera Studies program at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2021. The soprano has performed at the Garsington Opera and New Zealand Opera, the Barbican, Wigmore Hall, Snape Maltings, and Sadler’s Wells. Her repertoire includes the music of Tchaikovsky, Donizetti, Mozart, and Bellini.

The soprano joins a cast that includes Thomas Elwin, Katie Coventry, and Aidan Edwards. Gerry Cornelius conducts the production by Eloise Lally.
