English National Opera will transfer Du Yun and Royce Vavrek’s Pulitzer Prize-winning opera “Angel’s Bone” to the London Coliseum this October following its UK premiere at Aviva Studios in Manchester earlier this year.

The production, directed by Kip Williams and designed by Marg Horwell, will run from Oct. 16–31, with six performances. The transfer is part of ENO’s dual-center model, presenting productions London and Greater Manchester.

Williams returns to direct the production following his UK opera debut with the Manchester performances. Baldur Brönniman returns to conduct the production.

The Manchester cast will reprise their roles in London. Scottish mezzo-soprano Allison Cook will perform Mrs. X.E., with British baritone Rodney Earl Clarke as Mr. X.E. Swedish cross-genre musician and voice actress Mariam Wallentin will appear as Girl Angel, while Scottish tenor Matthew McKinney will perform Boy Angel. Hong Kong countertenor Keith Pun will sing Male Soprano.

The production will also feature the Kantos Chamber Choir, a Manchester-based vocal ensemble that appeared in the Manchester run.

The six London performances will take place Oct. 16, 22, 23 and 29 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. The Oct. 22 performance will be presented with British Sign Language interpretation.
