
English National Opera Set for Semi-Staged ‘Così fan tutte’ in Manchester
By David SalazarEnglish National Opera (ENO) is set to present a semi-staged concert of Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Friday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
The performances are part of ENO’s ongoing partnership with Greater Manchester and feature Alexander Joel conducting the Orchestra of ENO.
The cast features Lucy Crowe as Fiordiligi and Taylor Raven as Dorabella. Ferrando and Guglielmo are sung by tenor Joshua Blue and baritone Darwin Prakash, while Andrew Foster-Williams appears as Don Alfonso, and Ailish Tynan sings Despina.
Director Ruth Knight leads the semi-staged presentation.
“Following ENO’s vibrant run of Britten’s ‘Albert Herring’ at the Lowry in October 2025, we’re delighted to be returning to Greater Manchester with these semi-staged concert performances of Mozart’s ‘Così fan tutte.’ We can’t wait to connect with Manchester audiences once again and hear the glorious music of Mozart’s comic masterpiece in the iconic space of The Bridgewater Hall, performed by the award-winning Orchestra and Chorus of ENO, with world-class operatic artists,” Artistic Director Annilese Miskimmon said, per an official press release.
