Enea Scala & Jessica Nuccio Lead Festival Lirico Teatri di Pietri

The Festival Lirico Teatri di Pietri in Italy has announced a summer festival.

The festival, which will take place at the Teatro Antico di Taormina, opens on August 1 with Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” and continues on August 2 with the premio internazionale Giuseppe di Stefano. 

On August 20, the Festival Lirico Teatri di Pietri will present a Verdi and Puccini gala.

The festival will conclude with a concert on August 26 entitled “Lirica made in Sicily.” The gala will star Enea Scala, Simone Alaimo, Jessica Nuccio, and Pietro Ballo.

The summer edition is one of the many Italian opera festivals that have been announced. Among the other companies also set to open summer editions are the Rossini Opera Festival, Macerata Opera Festival, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and Festival Valle d’Itria.
