On May 8 Opera Vlaanderen in Belgium will stream a production of Massenet’s “Werther.”

The production conducted by Giedre Slekyte will star Enea Scala in the title role. It will be Scala’s role debut and he will be joined by Ivan Thirion as Albert, Rihab Chaieb as Charlotte, and Elisa Soster as Sophie.

The production will be streamed on the company’s website for a price of 10 euros with Danish and English Subtitles.

The stream follows the company’s “Dido and Aeneas” opera film. The company is also set to perform Lovemusik and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor this summer.

Scala recently performed at La Monnaie in “La Favorita” and “Elisabetta” and also headlined a gala concert at the Teatro Massimo alongside Angela Meade and Nicola Alaimo.
