Enea Scala, Luca Salsi, Enki Kamani & Simone Piazzola Highlight Teatro Filarmonico’s New Year’s Eve Concert

Enea Scala, Enki Kamani, Luca Salsi, and Simone Piazzola are set to headline the Teatro Filarmonico’s New Year’s Eve concert.

The concert in Verona, which is set to be streamed on Dec. 31 at 21.15 local time on Telearena, Arena Web TV, and on the Fondazione Arena di Verona’s YouTube channel, will be conducted by Maestro Steven Mercurio, who will lead the orchestra of the Teatro Filarmonico.

The program will include music by Giordano, Verdi, Strauss Jr., Lehár, Pietri,  and Sorozabal from such works as “Die Fledermaus,” “Un Ballo in Maschera,” and “Andrea Chenier.”

The New Year’s Eve celebration will be performed without an audience due to the Italian government’s health regulations in order to contain COVID-19.

The concert follows the Teatro Filarmonico’s Christmas concert which was headlined by Maria Jose Siri and Rosa Feola and Daniel Oren conducted.
