Empire City Men’s Chorus to Present ‘Dancing Day’
By David SalazarEmpire City Men’s Chorus will present “Dancing Day,” a holiday program aimed at exploring holiday traditions from around the world.
The event will take place over three days starting on Dec. 15 at the Church of the Holy Apostles and running through Dec. 18 at the Church of the Holy Trinity.
At the core of the program will be Duruflé’s “Messe Cum Jubilo” as well as music from Japan, Korea, China, and numerous wester classics.
“As we present ‘Dancing Day,’ we invite our audience to experience the holiday season through a collection of global traditions that celebrate peace and unity,” said Vince Peterson, Artistic Director of the Empire City Men’s Chorus, in an official press release. “By blending Eastern and Western music, we hope to inspire listeners to reflect on the connections we all share, honoring diverse cultures and voices that uplift and unify us during this season of hope.”
