Emöke Baráth To Give Recital at Auditori de Barcelona

Hungarian soprano Emöke Baráth will give a recital at Auditori de Barcelona on Feb. 16, 2021.

Baráth will perform works by Georg Friedrich Händel, including excerpts from the oratorio “Theodora,” HWV 68, excerpts from the oratorio “Joseph and his Brethern,” WVV 59, and Motet “Silete Venti,” HWV 242. Francesco Corti will conduct Les Musiciens du Louvre.

Emöke Baráth recently performed the role of Esilena in Händel’s “Rodrigo” at Theater an der Wien, and the role of Arianna in Legrenzi’s “Il Giustino” at Opéra de Lausanne, among others.

The soprano is scheduled to return to the stage in the role of Belinda for the run of Purcell’s opera “Dido and Aeneas” at Grand Théâtre de Genève in May 2021.
