Elsa Dreisig & Jacques Imbrailo Lead OperaVision’s February Streams

OperaVision has announced streams for the month of February.

The first stream of the month will be from Oslo’s Den Norske Opera. The company will present Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” conducted by Tobias Ringborg and directed by Jetske Mijnssen. Polish baritone Hubert Zapiór sings the title role.

Streaming Date: Feb. 5, 2021

The second stream of the month will be Massenet’s “Manon” from the Staatsoper Hamburg. The production stars Elsa Dreisig in the title role and Sébastien Rouland conducting. David Bösch directs the new production.

Streaming Dates: Feb. 12, 2021

The third stream of the month will be Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande” staged by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Damien Jalet from Geneva. Jacques Imbrailo and Mari Eriksmoen lead the cast.

Streaming Date: Feb. 19, 2021

The final stream of the month will be in Umeå in a concert entitled “Love & Politic.” The concert combines four Verdi operas based on Friedrich Schiller’s plays, “Don Carlo,” “I Masnadieri,” “Luisa Miller,” and “Giovanna d’Arco.” The concert is conducted by Ville Matvejeff and staged by Dan Turdén artistic director of Norrlandsoperan.
