Elīna Garanča Teams Up With Latvian National Opera & Ballet for Young Artists Program

The Latvian National Opera and Ballet, in cooperation with mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča and Jāzeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music, have created the first new opera soloist program in the Baltics, “Elīna Garanča: The new voices of the Baltic.”
The program will begin in the 2026-27 season, and Elīna Garanča will be the program’s patroness and ambassador.
The program is being implemented thanks to the donation of the family of the prominent screenwriter and costume artist Peter Rozlapa.
Garanča is recognized as one of the greatest singers of her generation who performs with the Wiener Staatsoper, Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, Paris Opera, and Royal Opera House.
