The Lucerne Festival has announced its 2025 summer season.

Here is a look at the vocal performances.

The Lucerne Festival Orchestra and Riccardo Chailly perform Mahler with Elīna Garanča.

Performance Date: August 15, 2025

The Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra and Keri-Lynn Wilson perform Strauss and Beethoven. Rachel Willis-Sørensen is the guest soloist.

Performance Date: August 18, 2025

Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” will be conducted by Gianluca Capuano with soloists Edgardo Rocha, Peter Kálmán, Cecilia Bartoli, Nicola Alaimo, and Ildebrando d’Arcangelo.

Performance Date: August 21, 2025

Sir Simon Rattle conducts the Lucerne Festival Orchestra in Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 and Mahler’s “Das Lied von der Erde.” Clay Hilley and Magdalena Kožená are the soloists.

Performance Date: August 23, 2025

The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Netherlands Radio Choir will be led by Karina Cannelakis. The concert will include music by Pierre Boulez, Unsuk Chin, and Robin de Raaff. Liv Redpath and Bertrand Chamayou are the soloists.

Kent Nagano conducts scenes from Wagner’s “Siegfried” with Thomas Blondelle, Thomas Ebenstein, Derek Welton, Hanno Müller-Brachmann, Gerhild Romberger, and Åsa Jäger.
