Eleonora Buratto, Kate Lindsey, Francesco Meli & Ludovic Tézier Highlight Teatro alla Scala’s New Streams

The Teatro alla Scala has announced its streaming program from Feb. 20 to March 27.
For the purposes of this article, only the operatic performances will be written about.
Operas
The month will showcase the “Salome” production previously announced conducted by Zubin Mehta directed by Damiano Michieletto.
The company also announced that “Die sieben Todsünden” and “Mahagonny-Songspiel” by Kurt Weill will be conducted by Riccardo Chailly. Irina Brook will direct the works while Kate Lindsey will perform as the soloist.
Symphonic Concerts
On March 5 the company will stream Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” conducted by Myung-Whun Chung. Soloists will include Eleonora Buratto, Veronica Simeoni, René Barbera, and Andrea Mastroni. The concert will also include Haydn’s Trauersymphonie.
On March 24, Nicola Luisotti will conduct soloists Maria Agresta and Francesco Meli in an Italian program.
Recitals
On Feb. 22 ,Vittorio Grigolo will give a recital with Vincent Scalera performing arias by Donizetti, Verdi, Gounod, Massenet, and Tosti.
On March 7, Ludovic Tézier and Helmut Deutsch will present an evening of music by Schubert, Schumann e Liszt a Mozart, Ibert, Fauré, and Berlioz.
Kate Lindsey will offer a recital of Kurt Weill songs alongside Baptiste Trotignon while Aleksandra Kurzak, Marek Ruszczynski, and Tomasz Wabnic will record a recital of music by Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, and Tchaikovsky. The recital will be broadcast on April 4.
