Eleonora Buratto, Anna Prohaska & Katharina Konradi Lead Baden-Baden Festival’s 2024-25 Season

The Baden-Baden Festival has announced its 2024-25 season. Here are the vocal performances.

Mark Elder conducts Richard Wagner’s “Parsifal,” Prelude and Good Friday Music, and “Tristan und Isolde,” Act two. The concert will include soloists Jonas Kaufmann, Camilla Nylund, Sasha Cooke, Christof Fischesser, and Todd Boyce.

Performance Date: August 25, 2024

Le Grand Gare Festival 

The Singfest with members of the Balthasar Neumann Choir will perform alongside Edward Caswell.

Performance Dates: Nov. 16 & 17, 2024

Thomas Hengelbrock conducts Haydn’s “The Creation” with soloists Anna Prohaska, Julian Prégardien, Jonas Müller, and Florian Boesch.

Performance Date: Nov 17, 2024

Gluck’s “Iphigénie en Tauride” will be conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock and will star Carolina López Moreno, Paolo Fanale, Domen Križaj, Marianne Croux, and Armando Noguera.

Performance Date: Nov. 22, 2024

Thomas Hengelbrock conducts Mozart’s Requiem with Carolyn Sampson, Eva Zaicik, Benjamin Bruns, and Tareq Nazmi.

Performance Date: Nov. 23, 2024

Piotr Beczała and Sondra Radvanovsky perform alongside Würth Philharmoniker and conductor Claudio Vandelli.

Andrea Marcon conducts Monteverdi’s Vespro Natale with La Cetra Barockorchester and Vokalensemble Basel.

Performance Date: Dec. 6, 2024

Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 will star Eleanor Lyons, Sophie Harmsen, Ilker Arcayürek, and Florian Boesch. Philippe Herreweghe conducts the Orchestre des Champs Élysées and Collegium Vocale Gent.

Axelle Fanyo, Kunal Lahiry, Mathis Stier, and Julius Schepansky perform works by Axelle Fanyo, Arnold Schoenberg, and Mathis Stier.

Performance Date: Dec. 8, 2024

Marc Minkowski conducts J. Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus”  with Les Musiciens du Louvre. The soloists are Huw Montague Rendall, Iulia Maria Dan, Michael Kraus, Marina Viotti, Magnus Dietrich, Leon Košavić, Kresimir Spicer, Alina Wunderlin, Sandrine Buendia, and Sunnyi Melles.

Marc Minkowski conducts a program of music by Chausson and Bruckner.

Daniel Hope moderates New Year’s Eve with soloists Thomas Hampson, Nils Landgren, and Horst Maria Merz. Daniel Geiss conducts the Philharmonie Baden-Baden.

Easter Festival Baden-Baden

Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” will showcase the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Kirill Petrenko. Davide Livermore conducts a cast that includes Eleonora Burrato, Jonathan Tetelman, Teresa Iervolino, and Tassis Christoyannis.

Performance Dates: April 12-20, 2025

Kirill Petrenko will conduct Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor and will star Katharina Konradi, Beth Taylor, Sebastian Kohlhepp, and Tareq Nazmi.
