Elena Stikhina to Participate in Mariinsky Theatre’s White Nights Festival

Elena Stikhina is set to participate in the Mariinsky Theatre’s White Nights Festival.

The company announced the Russian soprano will sing the role of Leonora in “La Forza del Destino” on August 1. She will perform alongside Alexey Markov and Hovhannes Ayvazyan.

The festival is known for bringing together the leading lights of the international opera stage and is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

She will also return to Valery Gergiev’s theater for a production of “Lohengrin,” where she will sing the role of Elsa.

This season, the soprano returns to the Metropolitan Opera for performances of “Madama Butterfly.”

She will also sing at the Dutch National Opera in performances of “The Maid of Orleans” and “Tosca.” The soprano will also perform in “Salome” and “Tosca” at the Wiener Staatsoper.
