Elena Mosuc Returns to the George Enescu Festival

Elena Mosuc is set to return to the George Enescu Festival 2021 on Sept. 5.

The acclaimed soprano will perform Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor alongside Emilie Rose Bry, Ioan Hotea, and Adrian Sâmpetrean. They will be joined by The London Mozart Players and conductor Nicolae Moldoveanu.

The concert will mark the return of Mosuc to her native country and she noted, “I’m really happy to take part in the Enescu Festival 2021. In these days I had the great pleasure and honor to hold a Masterclass hosted by the George Enescu National Museum, in the composer’s house of Tescani (Bacau). Enescu is a symbol for Romania, a national glory, and I was really glad to reconnect with the extraordinary music universe. I’m looking forward to be on the wonderful and exciting stage of the Athenaeum, to perform Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, which I sang exactly thirty years ago, on the same stage. Mozart is a composer really dear to my career.”

Mosuc recently performed several summer recitals in Zurich featuring arias and lieder. This season she is set to perform a number of gala performances in Germany.
