Ekaterina Semenchuk Cancels Opéra National de Bordeaux Concert With Keri-Lynn Wilson

The Opéra National de Bordeaux has announced a cast change for its concert on Oct. 27, 2022.

The company noted that due to health reasons Ekaterina Semenchuk will not be able to perform at the concert. As a result, Marina Prudenskaya has agreed to replace Semenchuk on short notice.

Prudenskaya will join conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson in a program that includes music by Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov, Lysenko, Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Chtchedrine, Shostakovich, Moussorgsky, and Dargomyjsky.

Semenchuk is currently at the Marinsky Theatre and on Oct. 22 performed in a production of “Cavalleria Rusticana” and she is still scheduled to perform a recital on Oct. 30 at the St. Peterburg theater. Moreover, Semenchuk is also set to perform productions of “La Forza del Destino,” “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk,” “Les Troyens,” and “The Queen of Spades” at the Mariinsky Theatre throughout this season.
