The Bolshoi Theatre in Minsk, Belarus, has announced the appointment of Ekaterina Dulova as its new Director.

“It’s a great honor to lead a team that I have known since childhood,” said Ekaterina Dulova in her speech to the Bolshoi Theatre team. “The status of the Bolshoi Theatre has always been extremely high. I would like us to continue to work brightly, interestingly, productively and creatively. I will make every effort for this. After all, I came here to serve.”

Prior to the appointment, Dulova was a professor at the Belarusian Academy of Music, where she worked for thirty years and was its rector for eleven years. Since 2016, Ekaterina Dulova has represented the Republic of Belarus in the Public Council for Cooperation of the CIS Member States in the Area of Music and Education as part of the Field of Culture and Art.

Dulova is also a member of the Constitutional Commission and acts as the chairman of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth.
