Edmonton Opera to Present ‘Candide’

Edmonton Opera is set to open a production of Bernstein’s “Candide” starting on March 14, 2020 at the Jubilee Auditorium.

Joel Ivany will direct the company premiere of the famed work with Peter Dala conducting. In the title role, audiences will see Adam Fisher. He will be joined by Caitlin Wood as Cunegonde, John Ullyatt as Dr. Pangloss and the Governor, Krista de Silva as Paquette, Beste Kalender as the Old Lady, Ron Long as Maximillian, Jesse Gervais as Baron, Luc Tellier as Man (and others), and Kristi Hansen as Sheep.

In addition to the performance on March 14, audiences will be able to see the work on March 17 and 20, 2020.

This is the last work to be featured in Edmonton Opera’s 2019-20 season.
