
Duo Atlantis to Perform in Carnegie Hall
By Francisco SalazarDuo Atlantis is set to make its U.S. debut with a program titled “The Echoes.”
The ensemble made up of mezzo-soprano Rachel Youngberg-Payne and pianist Jack Tyndale-Biscoe will first perform at the Kennedy Center on Oct. 21, 2025, and then at Carnegie Hall on Oct. 26, 2025.
“The Echoes” will highlight heartfelt songs of love, loss, and landscapes that ripple across the Atlantic, with Elgar, Vaughan Williams, and Britten of Britain
followed by Barber, Bolcom, and Copland of America.
Additionally, to raise awareness for the injustices of the cobalt mining industry, Duo Atlantis will premiere a piece by Bear McCreary titled “Power the World” that is dedicated to the overworked children of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
