The Dunedin Consort is set to present Handel’s “Messiah” at the Teatro Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogotá, Colombia on Dec. 7 and 8, 2019.

The concert will close up the company’s season-long honoring of the United Kingdom as the invited country of honor as well as to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the British Council in Colombia. The performance will be presented in association with the British Embassy in Colombia.

The 15 members of the Dunedin Consort will be led by John Butt with soprano Rachel Redmon, alto Jess Dandy, tenor Nicholas Mulroy, and bass Roland Wood appearing as the soloists. The Chorus of Ópera de Colombia will also perform, led by Luis Diaz Hérodier.

Funds gathered for the performance on Dec. 7 will be donated to Fundación Proyecto Unión.
