The Florentine Opera in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has announced its 2022-23 season.

Mainstage 

Duke Kim and Emily Pogorelc star in Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette” alongside Chris Kenney, Matt Treviño, Musa Ngqungwana, and Cassandra Zoe Velasco. David Lefkovich directs and Francesco Milioto conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 14 & 16, 2022

Ricardo Aponte directs the world premiere of “Covers.” 

Performance Dates: Feb. 9 & 10, 2023

Laura McCauley, Tzytle Steinman, Zachary Crowle, David Guzmàn, and Nicole Heinen star in Mozart’s “Così fan tutte: An Adaptation” which includes highlights from the original opera and will upend the battle of the sexes, exposing and examining all manner of gender stereotypes.

Katherine Beck, Aaron Crouch, Leroy Davis, Patrick Carfizzi, and Adam Lau lead Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” with Christopher Mattailano directing and Valentina Peleggi conducting.

The Baumgartner Studio Artists Performances

Carols and Cocoa will feature the Baumgartner Studio Artists Tyztle Steinman, Laura McCauley, Zachary Crowle, and Edward Forstman in Christmas Carols.
