Dubai Opera Announces 2023-24 Season

Dubai Opera has unveiled its 2023-24 season. While the season features numerous concerts and musicals, here is a rundown of the classical vocal performances.

The season opens with productions of “Swan Lake” and Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly,” the latter in a production by Miklós Gábor Kerényi from the Hungarian State Opera.

The opera will be performed on Sept.  12 and 13, 2023.

The Teatro alla Scala Orchestra will debut at the Dubai Opera. Entitled “Concert for Tomorrow” The concert features Aida Garifullina, Piero Pretti, and music by Verdi, Puccini, and Mascagni. Michele Gamba conducts. The showcase is set for Dec. 1, 2023.

Additionally, the company will present Händel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 13, 2023.

Other performances from the Dubai Opera’s upcoming season will feature the Rome Opera Ballet, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Matteo Bocelli, Tinariwen, Jethro Tull, Ali Sethi, David Garrett, Kenny Garrett, and Gilberto Gil.
