Dorothea Röschmann & Kent Nagano Highlight Christmas Concert in Hamburg

The Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg has announced a special Christmas concert, which will spotlight the famed soprano Dorothea Röschmann.

Röschmann will perform Johan Sebastian Bach’s “Laudamus te” from the Mass in B minor.  Kent Nagano will conduct the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg in a program that will also include Schäfer’s “Yamaga” for Violin and String Orchestra, Anton Bruckner’s Quintett in F Major, and Gabriel Fauré’s “Pie Jesu” from Requiem Op. 48.

Konradin Seitzer will play the violin.

The event will be held on Dec. 26 2020 at 8.15 p.m. at Hauptkirche St. Michaelis. The stream will be available here.

The concert will be performed without an audience following all the safety guidelines imposed by the German government and related to COVID-19.
