Dove Cameron, a musical theatre star and film/TV actress, will star as Clara Johnson in LA Opera’s production of Adam Guettel’s Broadway musical “The Light at the Piazza.” She will perform alongside Renée Fleming, who has been cast as Clara’s mother Margaret.

The two stars will take the stage together for the first time in June at London’s Royal Festival Hall, before the production travels to Los Angeles’ Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in October.

Cameron is best known for playing both title characters in the Disney TV show “Liv and Maddie.” Other credits include Cher in the Off-Broadway production of “Clueless: The Musical,” Bekah Cotter in the film “Dumplin,'” the voice of Spider-Gwen in “Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors” and “Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts,” and Mal in Disney’s live-action film “Decendents,” along with its two sequels. She will lend her voice to the animated film “Angry Birds 2” later this year.
