The Konzerthaus Dortmund has announced its 2021-22 season. For the purpose of this article, we will focus on the vocal works only.
Soprano Sophie Karthäuser kicks off the season with a performance of Beethoven‘s “Pastorale.” Laurence Equilbey conducts the production by Carlus Padrissa, La Fura dels Baus.

Mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená sings Ondřej Adámek’s Song cycle for mezzo-soprano and orchestra “Where are you?” alongside Sir Simon Rattle and the London Symphony Orchestra.

Soprano Christina Gansch performs works by Berg, Mahler, and Zemlinsky alongside pianist Malcolm Martineau.

The concert performance of Leonardo Vinci’s opera “Gismondo, Re di Polonia” spotlights Yuriy Mynenko, Sophie Junker, Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk, Jake Arditti, Dilyara Idrisova, Nicholas Tamagna, and Max Emanuel Cenčić in the title role. Martyna Pastuszka conducts.
