The DG stage has announced it will stream “Tosca” from the Wiener Staatsoper.

The production, which was filmed on Dec. 13, will be streamed on March 12 and features the legendary production by Margarethe Wallmann. Anna Netrebko stars in the title role alongside Yusif Eyvazov as Cavaradossi and Wolfgang Koch as Scarpia.

The production also showcases the scenic and costume design of Nicola Benois and is conducted by Bertrand de Billy.

Audiences can view the production on the DG stage until March 14, 2021.

This is the second “Tosca” the DG stage has streamed since the launch of the platform. The streaming service previously streamed Netrebko’s “Tosca” from the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli last summer.  The upcoming production from the Wiener Staatsoper was previously streamed on ORF, the Wiener Staatsoper’s livestream platform, and Stage Access.
