Deutsche Oper Berlin Announces Several Cast Changes for Productions

The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced several cast changes for numerous productions.

The company said that Felicia Moore will take over the role of Lady Macbeth from Anastasia Bartoli in Verdi’s “Macbeth” for performances on Nov. 23, 27, 30, Dec. 4, and 8.

For the performance of Verdi’s “La Traviata” on Nov. 3, Andrei Bondarenko will take over the role of Giorgio Germont replacing Thomas Lehman.

In ‘The Magic Flute,” Kangyoon Shine Lee will take over the role of Tamino from Kieran Carrel on Nov. 17.

For “Lucia di Lammermoor,” the company announced that Kangyoon Shine Lee will sing the role of Arturo in place of Kieran Carrel on Oct. 31 and Nov. 5 while Thomas Cilluffo will take over the role of Arturo from Kangyoon Shine Lee on Dec. 14 and 18. Finally, Gilda Fiume will sign the title role replacing Hila Fahima on Nov. 15.

In the production of “Der Zwerg,” Olga Bezsmertna will sing the role of Ghita replacing Felicia Moore on Dec. 1, 7, and 10.

The final cast change the company announced was for “Aida.” Volodymyr Morozov will sing the role of Ramfis in place of Byung Gil Ki on May 3, 2025.
