Deutsche Oper Berlin Announces Conductor Change for ‘Madama Butterfly’

The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced a conductor change for its production of “Madama Butterfly.”

The company noted that Keri-Lynn Wilson will lead the opera on May 21, 25, and 29, 2022.

Wilson is a well-known conductor who has performed at the Arena di Verona, Canadian Opera Company, Bolshoi Theatre, Washington National Opera, Teatro dell’opera di Roma, Wiener Staatsoper, and Opernhaus Zurich. Next season she is set to make her long-awaited Metropolitan Opera debut and is also set to conduct the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra this summer alongside soprano Liudmyla Monastyrska. The conductor will also conduct at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

Wilson will conduct a cast that includes Elena Guseva, Irene Roberts, Brian Jagde, Dong-Hwan Lee, and Burkhard Ulrich.
