Deutsche Oper Berlin Announces Cast Changes for ‘Nabucco’ & ‘Tosca’

The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced cast changes for its productions of “Nabucco” and “Tosca.”

The company announced that Oksana Dyka will take over the role of Abigaille on May 27 replacing Saioa Hernandez, who had replaced Maria Jose Siri. Meanwhile, Liudmyla Monastyrska will replace Hernandez in the title role of “Tosca” on June 2 and 5.

The changes come as Hernandez will join the new production of “La Gioconda” at the Teatro alla Scala” after Sonya Yoncheva was forced to withdraw due to illness.

Monastyrska will join a cast that includes Brian Jagde and Roman Burdenko. Nicholas Milton conducts.

Meanwhile, Dyka joins a cast that includes Amartuvshin Enkhbat, Patrick Cook, Marko Mimica, and Arianna Manganello. Carlo Montanaro conducts.
