Deutsche Grammophon has announced that it will once again be the exclusive international media partner of the Bayreuth Festival 2022.

The company noted that it will expand its longstanding partnership as it will build on the benchmark standards of online streaming that the partnership has set in the last two years.

Deutsche Grammophon will record Wagner’s epic Ring Cycle tetralogy which will be conducted by Cornelius Meister and directed by Valentin Schwarz, who, at 33 is one of the youngest directors in the Festival’s history.

The premiere of the four eagerly-anticipated productions will be available to stream online starting on August 7.

The record company started its online partnership with the Bayreuth Festival in 2020 and has been partnering with the festival for many years releasing such operas as “Lohengrin” and “Tannhäuser,” among others.
