Deutsche Grammophon Announces Anna Netrebko’s New Album ‘Amata Dalle Tenebre’

Deutsche Grammophon has announced Anna Netrebko’s new album “Amata Dalle Tenebre.

The new album will mark the soprano’s first studio album since her 2017 cross-over album “Romanza.”

“Amata Dalle Tenebre” comes in celebration of the soprano’s 50th birthday. Recorded in the auditorium of the Teatro alla in Milan, with the Scala Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Riccardo Chailly, the album showcases the soprano in arias from “Don Carlo,” “Aida,” “Ariadne auf Naxos,” “Tannhäuser,” “Adriana Lecouvreur,” “Pique Dame,” “Madama Butterfly,” “Lohengrin,” “Manon Lescaut,” “Dido and Aeneas,” and “Tristan und Isolde.”

The album will include a deluxe edition with a BluRay disc featuring music videos to the arias of Aida, Lisa, Dido and Isolde. There will also be exclusive interview content with the soprano speaking about the new album and the arias she chose to record.

“Amata Dalle Tenebre” is set to be released on Nov. 5, 2021.
