OPERA NEWS has announced the recipients of its 2022 Awards.

The 2022 recipients include international opera stars Denyce Graves, Quinn Kelsey, and Elza van den Heever. All three have collectively graced the greatest opera stages around the world and have built renowned careers at the Met Opera.

The Awards Gala is scheduled for April 3, 2022 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. The event will also feature musical tributes by J’Nai Bridges and Piotr Beczala as well as appearances by Nina Stemme and Christian Van Horn.

“The editors of OPERA NEWS and the staff and board of directors of the Metropolitan Opera Guild are thrilled that we will be returning to live programming with the seventeenth annual OPERA NEWS Awards on April 3,” OPERA NEWS Editor-in-Chief F. Paul Driscoll said in a official statement. “It gives us special joy to celebrate three honorees—Denyce Graves, Quinn Kelsey and Elza van den Heever—whose talent, integrity and courage are abiding sources of inspiration.”
