Denver Lyric Opera Guild and Central City Opera are teaming up to present a concert featuring Cynthia Lawrence.

The soprano will be joined by pianist Jeremy Reger and participants of the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Vocal Competition on Sept. 27, 2024 at the Applewood Valley United Methodist Church in Golden, Colorado.

Lawrence has had a major operatic career, following her victory at the Met Opera National Council Auditions back in 1984. She then went on to become a member of the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s young artist program and appeared with Luciano Pavarotti in the “Pavarotti Plus” concert at Lincoln Center in 1989. She then went on to perform at the Washington National Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Paris Opera, and Prague’s National Theatre, among others.

She is also an inductee of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame.

Additionally, Lawrence is set to give a masterclass on Sept. 28, 2024.
